abu-shok-smallEL FASHER (13 Aug) – The families of 21 internally displaced people from the camps around El Fasher cannot trace their relatives. After the killing in Abu Shouk Camp near El Fasher of the Tunjur Chief Omar Adam Ishag (Al Sarough) and his wife, the security forces started a wave of arrests. The families went to all the police stations in El Fasher but they were not able to trace any of the detainees. The police told the families that the police did not open a case against any of the arrested people. Based on this information the relatives have concluded that the arrested people have been locked up in one of the secret security detention places without access to a lawyer. The families asked the UN peacekeepers to help and intervene, but UNAMID refuses to assist or to investigate the disappearances, several families told Radio Dabanga. This week the authorities detained two young nephews of a man in Al Salaam camp in El Fasher to force him to surrender himself to the police. They took the boys into custody telling the family that these children would be released when their uncle came to the police station. After the uncle returned home he went to the police station fearing the worst for the children. But the officers arrested the man and refused to release the children.

I am writing this message for Darfurian people all over the world about the people in darfur. People are all displaced, some of them are in camps, some are killed. What are you doing? Just stay and looking for them. The police arrest them in camps, militia and janjweed attack
them in the camps and nobody is able to prevent his family from Janjweed raping his doughter or his wife. What kind of rebel leader are you??
If you are extremely the people thoes are took
guns about your land and your family in darfur.
Stop doing personal things and do something for your people in Darfur, look at the government arming
Janjweed and settle them in our lands. For how long could you stay taking about meaningless things that doesn’t mean anything. If you are
really serious about darfur and you come together as one unite rebel government doesn’t have anything to do accept. They will give you what yo want or at least they will stop unacceptable things what they are doing in Darfur.
